Army frees 360 abductees after clashes with Boko Haram in Nigeria’s Borno

The Nigerian army announced the release of 360 abductees held by Boko Haram in southern Borno State. The rescue operation took place in the Mandara mountains, where hostages were kept under harsh conditions. Two infants died from exhaustion. Several Boko Haram fighters fled or surrendered.
