ARSP certifies 55 inspectors to strengthen subcontracting oversight

The Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting (ARSP) certified 55 inspectors after training intended to strengthen field inspections and enforce subcontracting legislation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Minister Justin Kalumba Mwana-Ngongo, who praised the initiative. ARSP Director General Juan Ted Beleshayi Kasanda urged the inspectors to work rigorously, impartially and with integrity, produce high-quality reports, and resist pressure and corruption. The authority aims in particular to improve enforcement of rules that support Congolese companies’ access to contracts.
