ARSP demands KCC and MUMI to cancel contracts with 1,500 non-compliant subcontractors

The Private Sector Subcontracting Regulatory Authority (ARSP) has demanded that Kamoto Copper Company (KCC) and Mutanda Mining (MUMI) cancel their contracts with 1,500 non-compliant subcontractors under Congolese law. This decision aims to enhance access for Congolese companies to the subcontracting market. KCC and MUMI have 30 days to present a corrective plan to terminate these relationships. Eligibility criteria require that companies be 51% owned by Congolese and managed by Congolese individuals.
