Russia discusses joint production of aerial armaments with African countries

Russian industrialists, led by Alexander Mikheyev of Rosoboronexport, are negotiating with several African governments for the local production of military aeronautical equipment. This announcement was made ahead of the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt, where Rosoboronexport emphasized the importance of the African market, accounting for 30% of its order book. Algeria is identified as the main Russian military client on the continent, operating Su-57E and Su-35 fighters.
