Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia still on, organisers say, but golf tour postponed

Saudi organisers say the Asian Cup remains scheduled to take place in the country from January 7 to February 5. The Asian Tour has postponed the Saudi International indefinitely following a series of attacks on Riyadh, including a Houthi-claimed strike that killed 14 people and wounded more than 300. Australia withdrew from the urban cycling World Championships, while Riyadh’s Six Kings Slam tennis event was moved to December and the FIFAe Finals in Jeddah were postponed. Several Saudi football matches have also been postponed or delayed amid security concerns.
