ASUU begins indefinite strike at three Lagos State universities

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has commenced an indefinite strike at three Lagos State-owned universities due to the government's failure to address its demands. The affected institutions are Lagos State University (LASU), Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH). ASUU is demanding the implementation of provisions from the December 2025 agreement, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance and welfare measures for serving and retired academic staff.
