ASUU faults FG, states over unpaid salaries, 2025 agreement

ASUU criticized the federal and state governments for the non-payment of three and a half months of salaries owed to university lecturers and for the uneven implementation of the December 2025 agreement. ASUU President, Prof. Christopher Piwuna, expressed disappointment over the lack of progress in implementing the agreement's provisions, which include improved salaries and better funding for public universities. He also highlighted that some universities are struggling to implement the new salary structure, leaving lecturers uncertain about their full entitlements.
