ASUU suspends strike at Plateau State University

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Plateau State University branch, has suspended its strike after reaching an agreement with the Plateau State government on the union's six-point demands. The decision was made during an emergency congress meeting in Jos, where members reviewed the issues that led to the strike on August 26, 2026. The agreement includes the full implementation of the 2025 FGN/ASUU agreement and the payment of arrears starting from January 2026.
