At least 11 people were killed in clashes between police and supporters of the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The violence erupted after the Supreme Court ruled that 12 legislative seats reserved for Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan are constitutionally protected. The JAAC had planned a rally for Tuesday demanding greater political rights and the abolition of those seats. Four police officers, a passer-by, and six protesters were killed, with dozens wounded.
