At least 139 dead as migrant boat from Djibouti to Yemen capsizes

At least 139 migrants, including 15 children, have died and 84 remain missing after a boat carrying over 300 people capsized off Djibouti en route to Yemen. The disaster highlights the dangers of the Eastern Route, where more than 900 people died or went missing in 2025. The crossing is especially perilous due to difficult conditions and high migrant traffic on this route.
