At least 16 militiamen killed in clashes between CRP and CODECO in Djugu

At least 16 militiamen were killed and several wounded on September 27 during clashes between CRP and CODECO in Nyampala, Djugu territory, Ituri. The fighting started after an attack by CRP on an FARDC position, then involved the two groups as CRP tried to reach their stronghold of Maze. CODECO recovered weapons including four AK-47 rifles and a PKM machine gun, amid worsening security with kidnappings and attacks attributed to CRP.
