At the UN, DRC Highlights Investments in Health and Education, with Over 5 Million Children Benefiting from Free Education

At the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, represented by Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka, showcased its social policies focused on investing in its population. Since 2019, free primary education has enabled over 5 million additional children to attend school, with more than 21 million enrolled in the 2023-2024 school year. The Prime Minister also emphasized efforts to improve learning conditions, including building and rehabilitating schools and deploying school canteens.
