Atiku accuses DSS of plotting to disrupt ADC rally in Sokoto

Atiku Abubakar accused the Department of State Services leadership of recruiting protesters in Sokoto to create disorder and provide grounds for a curfew that would prevent the ADC campaign rally. At a press briefing in Abuja, he said campaign venues had been blocked and protesters mobilised near Koko Road were causing traffic jams and assaulting residents. He called the alleged actions part of the Bola Tinubu administration’s effort to weaken the opposition ahead of the 2027 election and urged security officers to remain impartial. Atiku also pledged that an ADC government would lower living costs, support local production and create jobs.
