Karl Von Batten, a lobbyist for former Vice President Atiku, deleted his social media post announcing his appointment by President Donald Trump to a presidential commission. The announcement was downplayed by Sunday Dare, a media aide to President Tinubu, who clarified that the appointment was to the Commission on Presidential Scholars, an educational panel with no responsibility for foreign policy or national security. Von Batten, managing partner of Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C., was hired by Atiku to enhance his reputation in the US.
