Augustin Kabuya to Joseph Kabila: "He is not a model to speak about human rights"

Augustin Kabuya, secretary-general of UDPS, criticized Joseph Kabila, accusing him of attempting to present himself as a defender of human rights despite his record of serious violations, including journalist murders such as Bapua Muamba in 2006 and Franck Ngikie in 2005. He also mentioned the 'Likofi' operation in Kinshasa, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of about fifty youths and the disappearance of 33 others, as well as violence during 2015-2016 under Kabila. Kabuya contrasted Kabila's governance with that of Félix Tshisekedi, stating that former delinquents are now involved in national development efforts.
