Niger APC Sets Up 525-Member Campaign Council, Targets 2 Million Votes for Tinubu and Bago

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago said the APC is targeting more than 2 million votes in the 2027 presidential and governorship elections. He made the announcement Monday in Minna at the inauguration of a 525-member campaign council that includes elected officials, local government leaders, ministers and advisers. Bago urged the party to welcome returning members and run a constructive campaign focused on federal economic policies, revenue and job creation. Campaign director-general Ahmed Ibeto pledged strategic coordination and grassroots mobilisation, while APC leaders called for unity and warned against underestimating opponents.
