Baba-Ahmed suffering from post-political identity crisis after running with Obi – Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, stated that Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed may be experiencing a 'post-political identity crisis' following his role as Peter Obi's running mate in the 2023 presidential election. Okonkwo explained that the high expectations of those involved in the 2023 campaign were dashed by Obi's inability to manage the Labour Party, leading to political trauma among some members. He also noted that the unusual support for Obi stemmed from a desire to contribute rather than personal gain.
