Back to school: PCR imposes new measures to secure students in Mbuji-Mayi

The Traffic Police (PCR) of Kasaï-Oriental has strengthened security measures around schools in Mbuji-Mayi ahead of the school year starting on September 1, 2026. Motorcycle taxi drivers must adhere to a speed limit of 30 km/h near schools and yield to students. The PCR has also instructed vendors to clear sidewalks and announced inspections to ensure compliance with these measures.
