During the National Cocoa and Chocolate Days, CNRA's Deputy Director General, Dr. Michel Amani Kouakou, warned about the dangers of harmful agricultural practices and uncontrolled use of chemicals. He emphasized that Côte d'Ivoire must focus on improving productivity per hectare and creating resistant cocoa varieties to combat the Swollen Shoot disease. The chaotic use of pesticides threatens the ecosystem and soil health, making ecological awareness among producers urgent.
