Bank Credit: The TEG of SMEs Drops to 11.43%, but Remains 4.71 Points Above That of Large Enterprises

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the average effective global rate (TEG) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Cameroon was 11.43%, compared to 6.72% for large enterprises, according to the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). The gap between the two categories is 4.71 points, although it has decreased from the previous year. For cash credits, the TEG for SMEs reached 13.82%, compared to 6.84% for large enterprises.
