Bas-Uélé: One dead and nine kidnapped by LRA in Banda, population in fear

An attack attributed to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) occurred on the night of June 11-12 in the locality of Banda, Ango territory, Bas-Uélé province. An agent of the Provincial Revenue Directorate was killed, and nine people were abducted, including eight primary school students. One 20-year-old captive was released, but eight students remain missing. The TENASOSP national exams were disrupted, with two students missing the second day after their kidnapping.
