Basketball /Congo Cup: The reigning champion, Sctp, loses its crown

Kinshasa's BC Sctp, last year's Congo Cup champion, was eliminated in the quarter-finals by BC Generation Espoir from Haut-Katanga (40-42) during the 43rd edition at the Martyrs stadium gymnasium. After a tough start, Sctp experienced an offensive drought in the third quarter, allowing Generation Espoir to take the lead, and they failed to recover in the final moments. Generation Espoir's victory secures their spot in the semi-finals, with BC Bahari from North Kivu also qualifying after defeating BC Mwanga (83-62).
