Batouri: Pater residents block road to demand its rehabilitation

Residents of the village Pater, near Batouri, blocked the road for nearly five hours to protest the deteriorating condition of the road, which has not been rehabilitated for over six years. The sub-prefect of Batouri, Adelphe Wenceslas Evaga, visited the site and promised to forward the protesters' grievances to the East Regional Council. The village youth also raised concerns about a mixed control and fees imposed on motorcycle drivers. Traffic resumed after discussions with the administrative authority.
