Bauchi farmers-herders clash, claim seven lives

Seven people were killed in a farmer-herder clash in Lanzai Dosho villages, Darazo local government area of Bauchi South. The police reported that the incident began on June 4, 2026, when suspected Fulani men attacked farmers. In a reprisal, youths from Lanzai set fire to about 50 huts in Dosho. The police commissioner has ordered an investigation and deployed reinforcements.

Troops rescue five escapees from terrorists' enclaves in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued five children who escaped from Boko Haram terrorist enclaves in Borno State, Nigeria, following sustained military pressure. On June 4, two girls, Aisha Idrisa (13) and Fatima Abubakar (11), were rescued near Gwoza after escaping from the Sahalawa enclave. Three other girls, Wuriya Kaka (12), Fauza Abu (13), and Hussaina Usman (13), surrendered to troops after escaping from Guduf Nagadayo in the Mandara Mountains.
