US lawmaker proposes sanctions against Canada over wildfire smoke

Republican Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio announced plans to introduce a bill called the CANADA FIRE Act to sanction Canada and Canadian officials over wildfire smoke that has degraded air quality in the US.
