Belgium: Bernard Nguene talks about his adaptation to Standard de Liège and dreams of the Indomitable Lions

Bernard Nguene, a 20-year-old Cameroonian forward, is gradually adapting to Standard de Liège after an atypical journey. He started football late, initially practicing other sports, before realizing his potential at the Brasseries du Cameroun Football School. After a stint at OGC Nice, he joined Standard in January 2026, signing a contract until June 2028, with the ambition of representing the Indomitable Lions one day.
