Al Ahly SC bounced back from a heavy defeat to Pyramids FC with a commanding 3-0 win over Zamalek SC, keeping the title race wide open with two rounds remaining. Achraf Bencharki starred with two goals and an assist, opening the scoring in the 18th minute. Hussein El Shahat added a second goal before halftime. Al Ahly currently sits third with 47 points, just three behind leaders Zamalek and Pyramids.
