Beni: Kyavinyonge, new entity affected by Ebola after a confirmed death

A death related to the Ebola virus disease was confirmed on September 17, 2026, in Kyavinyonge, in the Beni territory of North Kivu. The victim, a man over 40 years old from Butembo, had been hospitalized at the Kyavinyonge reference health center. The Kyondo health zone currently has 32 confirmed cases of Ebola, including 17 deaths, while the Oïcha zone reports 12 confirmed cases, with eight deaths to date.
