Beni: still no resumption in several schools of Mwenye, three weeks after the school year started

Three weeks after the school year began, several schools in the Mwenye group in the Lubero territory of North Kivu have still not resumed classes due to ongoing insecurity. The local youth council reported a low number of students and teachers, with more than five schools at risk of not resuming activities. Prince Kasyano, the council president, calls on the government to strengthen security to allow displaced families to return to their villages and children to go back to school.
