Benin: 116 migrants, including 22 women, voluntarily repatriated from Niger with IOM support

A total of 116 Beninese migrants, including 22 women, voluntarily returned from Niger last month with support from the IOM and the Beninese government, as part of a safe return program. This follows a larger repatriation of 250 migrants from Algeria in September under the AVRR scheme. Niger is a major migration route toward Europe, and these programs aim to help migrants find employment and reintegrate into their communities.
