Benin: 3,250 12-gauge cartridges seized in Parakou, the convoy driver on the run

On September 28, in Parakou, police seized 3,250 12-gauge cartridges in thirteen boxes originating from Djougou. During a raid around 12:30 p.m., officers stopped a suspicious unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, discovering ammunition hidden in bags. The suspected convoy driver escaped, leaving behind a plate-less Dayang motorcycle; one man was detained and will be transferred to the police headquarters. Authorities are investigating the source of the ammunition and those involved.
