Benin: 5 years in prison for a teacher accused of molesting a 15-year-old student

A 41-year-old teacher, Amoussouke Narcisse, was sentenced to five years in prison for sexual harassment of a 15-year-old student in Cotonou. The incidents, which disrupted the victim's schooling, included advances and regular molestation. In addition to the prison sentence, he was fined one million CFA francs and banned from teaching for three years. The decision by the Court for the repression of economic offenses and terrorism (Criet) upheld these penalties on appeal.
