Benin: 500 Million Euros Mobilized for Roads, Health, and Education with ICIEC Support – La Nouvelle Tribune

On October 12, 2026, ICIEC announced its support for a 500 million euro financing operation for Benin, aimed at supporting sustainable development projects in transportation, health, education, and justice sectors. This funding aligns with the government’s 2021-2026 Action Program and Vision 2060 roadmap, with coverage for non-payment risks amounting to 308.79 million euros. It complements a 26.7 million euro loan approved by BOAD in late September and over twenty projects showcased at Benin Deal Room 2026, with funding needs estimated between 2 and 3 billion dollars.
