Benin: A truck carrying 50 tons of rice ends up in a ravine in Savè

A heavy truck carrying about 50 tons of rice overturned on May 8, 2026, on the Savè-Parakou road, near the Savè-Ouèssè zone hospital. The driver, injured after losing control of the vehicle, was evacuated to SATOM hospital. The Republican Police secured the area to prevent disruptions on this main road connecting central and northern Benin.
