Benin: ABMed Orders TOCFIM Quarantined

Benin’s Medicines and Other Health Products Agency (ABMed) has ordered the immediate quarantine of all batches of TOCFIM, an oral cefixime suspension at 100 mg/5 mL made by Acton Pharma Pvt. Ltd. The medicine is prescribed for children over six months to treat certain bacterial infections, and authorities stress that it requires a prescription and that prescribed courses should be completed.
