Benin: Gbadamassi wants to share Cotonou’s experience with other municipalities

Minister-counsellor for Defence Rachidi Gbadamassi praised Cotonou Mayor Luc Gnacadja’s 2026–2033 municipal plan during a visit to city hall on October 19, 2026. Titled “Cotonou 2026–2033: Changing Scale,” the plan sets the municipality’s priorities, which Gbadamassi said align with national goals. Accompanied by Littoral Prefect Gilbert Déou Malè, he recalled that Gnacadja had helped secure Parakou’s first paving stones when Gbadamassi was the city’s mayor.

Priorities include targeted research into diseases affecting women, such as endometriosis, and getting promising treatments to female patients sooner.
