The Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (Gdiz) inaugurated Ehua Industries on September 4, 2026, a project costing over 28 billion CFA francs aimed at enhancing local processing of agricultural raw materials. The factory, led by Anick Achi-Magne, will process maize, soybeans, and other products to produce animal feed. Minister Olushegun Bakari emphasized the significance of this initiative for Benin's economic and food sovereignty, also announcing the creation of 500 direct jobs.
