Benin: History Teachers Trained to Convey a Less 'Distorted' Colonial Narrative

On September 8, history and geography teachers attended a training session at the École normale supérieure in Porto-Novo to better teach the colonial period. This program, led by François Abiola, aims to rewrite Benin's history by including events such as the Sakété uprising in 1905 and the Thiaroye massacre in 1944. Conferences and debates have been held in various schools to equip teachers with appropriate methodological tools.
