Benin: Infantino supports Marcellin Bocovè after his election to the FBF

Marcellin Bocovè was elected president of the Benin Football Federation (FBF) on August 25, 2026, receiving 76 out of 79 votes during the elective general assembly. Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, congratulated him and expressed support, paving the way for collaboration on the development of football in Benin. Bocovè succeeds Mathurin de Chacus and will lead a 21-member executive team for the 2026-2030 term.
