Benin Introduces Biometric Verification for Pensioners' Proof of Life

The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Benin has simplified the proof of life process for pensioners by allowing it to be completed via a mobile app or biometric kiosks in certain public spaces. Pensioners need to download the 'Proof of Life' app, enter their NPI and booklet number, then scan their fingerprints. This new process eliminates the need for physical visits to the Treasury, with confirmation sent via SMS or email after verification. Previously, the process required going to the Treasury or FNRB offices.
