Benin: Motorbike and livestock thieves arrested in Tchaourou, over 70 goats stolen

On Monday, June 8, 2026, the Tchaourou police station arrested three individuals suspected of stealing motorbikes, goats, and poultry in Goro, Tchatchou, and central Tchaourou. A suspect caught stealing a tricycle key confessed to being part of a group responsible for stealing over 70 goats and robbing a Bajaj motorbike on June 6. Searches led to the seizure of two Bajaj motorbikes, spare parts, and burglary tools. Identified fences are still at large.
