Benin: Nearly 20 kg of hemp seized from suspect in Kétou – La Nouvelle Tribune

Four individuals were arrested in Kétou during a police operation on September 23, 2026, which resulted in the seizure of nearly 20 kilograms of a product related to hemp, along with tablets, scales, cash (5,188,625 CFA francs and 458,000 nairas), and other items. The operation took place in the Obafèmi neighborhood, where suspects attempted to hide in the ceiling of their home. This raid follows a previous seizure of over 21 kilograms of hemp in the same area in early September.
