Benin: Nearly 900 Children of Deceased Soldiers Supported for the 2026-2027 School Year

On September 3, over a thousand school kits were distributed to children of deceased Beninese soldiers during a ceremony at the Cotonou Air Base. The Minister Delegate for National Defense, Gildas Bignon Agonkan, emphasized the importance of this support to prevent school dropout. The Minister of Family, Véronique Tognifodé, encouraged the widows and children to maintain hope despite their grief. This program, launched in 2020, has reached nearly 900 families this year.
