Benin: newborn buried alive found alive in Akassato

A resident of Zoungodo, a neighborhood in Akassato, in the commune of Abomey-Calavi, discovered a newborn buried in the ground while answering nature’s call. He alerted neighbors, who dug out the baby, still alive and crying. Police arrived to investigate, and a video shows the child breathing and crying during the rescue.
