Benin: SBEE announces up to 5 hours of power cuts on September 8 in eight cities

On September 8, 2026, eight cities in Benin will experience power cuts of up to five hours due to maintenance work by the Beninese Electricity Company (SBEE). In the Djougou region, several neighborhoods will be without electricity from 11 AM to 3 PM, while other areas such as Glazoué, Parakou, Kandi, and Natitingou will also be affected. The Grand-Nokoué area, including Ouidah and Lokossa, will face similar interruptions. SBEE emphasizes that these interventions aim to enhance the performance of the electrical network.
