On September 10, 2026, Benin presented the results of its second National Risk Assessment, showing a decrease in money laundering risk while terrorism financing has become a major concern. Finance Minister Nicolas Yènoussi urged stakeholders to use the findings to guide the National Strategy against these threats for 2026-2030. The National Financial Information Processing Unit (CENTIF) reported 529 suspicious transaction reports in 2025, including 11 related to terrorism financing.
