Benin: The CES inherits the staff of the former Mediator

The staff of the former Mediator of the Republic has been integrated into the workforce of the Economic and Social Council (CES) following a decision made on August 31, 2026, by Abdoulaye Bio Tchané. This measure follows the reform that transferred the functions of the Mediator to the CES and was formalized by decision n°2026/63/CES/PT/DC/SG/DPAF/SGC/SA. The transfer of functions and personnel is part of the new administrative organization of the CES, adopted after the Constitutional Court declared the internal regulations compliant.
