Benin: The first classes for the 2026-2027 school year commence

In Benin, the school year began on September 14, 2026, marking the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. Minister Armand Kuyema Natta praised the previous exam results, with a 90.17% pass rate for the CEP, but expressed concerns about the results for the BEPC and Baccalauréat. He called for strengthened pedagogical support in secondary education and announced logistical measures to support the return to classes, including the Weziza Educ program. Parents were also urged to play an active role in supporting their children.
