Benin: the Mangal Festival brings together art, science, and ecotourism in Grand-Popo

The Mangal Festival will open its second edition on September 22, 2026, in Cotonou, before continuing to Aného and Grand-Popo. Over six days, scientific, cultural, and economic activities will be organized around the ecosystems of the Transboundary Biosphere Reserve of Mono. The festival will focus on agroecology and ecotourism, featuring educational programs for youth and initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
