Benin: Two smugglers arrested with 155 kg of counterfeit drugs in Sèmè-Kpodji

The Aholouyèmè police station intercepted 155 kg of counterfeit drugs in Kétonou on the night of September 16, 2026. Two men, the driver and his accomplice, were arrested while riding a motorcycle. The goods, introduced from a neighboring country, were to be transported to Cotonou for sale on the illicit market. An investigation is underway to identify other individuals involved in this network.
